Department of State High Threat Protective Operations / World-wide Personal Protective Services (2010 to present Iraq)

§  Currently serves as Integration Training Instructor in Baghdad, Iraq for the World-wide High Threat Protection program, responsible for organizing, and supervising of protective security training of Iraqi Police integration with Department of State protective security details. Plan and coordinate integration training for local national Protective Security Officers (PSO). Facilitate training for continued in-service training with WPS protective security teams and firearms training. Serve as mentor for integration Protective Security Officers (PSO)

§  Served as Shift Leader/Detail Leader as Personal Protection Specialist (PSS) on the Ambassador’s protective detail, providing armed close-personal protection for presidential appointed executives, dignitaries, the U.S Ambassador and the Deputy Chief of Missions to Iraq.

§  Responsible for the conduct of high-threat security operations, tactical route planning, mission planning, motorcade navigation during operational movements, exterior and interior security while on venues, coordinating with aviation, and Tactical Support Teams (TST), and other support elements.

Site Security Manager/Personal Protection Specialist/Antiterrorism Force Protection Advisor (2009 to 2010 Afghanistan)

  • Directed activities of personnel in the development of, and the implementation of Anti-terrorism Force Protection measures and conducting threat assessments of company force protection security measures, which comply with Department of Defense, military and federal regulations in Afghanistan for more than 6 Forward Operating Bases (FOBs).
  • Directed activities of personnel in revising and updating force protection security measures, for 2 forward operating bases, and 13 safe houses in Kabul, Afghanistan due to new or revised regulations mandated by FLUOR Government Corporation.
  • Provided direct close-in security and personal protection for eight (8) personnel while working in a diverse combat environment in around Afghanistan.

United States Marine Corps, Company Gunnery Sergeant / Personal Security Detail Leader and Convoy Commander (2007 to 2009 Iraq)                    

  • Served as primary tactical advisor to the Company Commander on combat operations with in Al Anbar Province Ramadi, Iraq.
  • Planned and conducted more than 50 convoy security missions in and around Ramadi, Iraq while serving as Personal Security Detail leader for battalion commander.
  • Directly provided logistical support for battalion sized elements as well as recommendations to the Battalion Commander (0-5) and Company Commander (0-3) on live fire training and combat related exercises which resulted in over 2,500 military personnel trained and qualified, with-out incident, on the M4 carbine, M16A2/A4 service rifle, Rifle Combat Optic (RCO), and the M9mm Beretta pistol.
  • Provided direct support on personal security detail matters for senior high ranking elected officials and senior military officers (0-5 and above), in a fluid combat environment.

Staff Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge, Small Arms Weapons, Instructor Course (S.A.W.I.C.), Foreign Weapons Instructor (2005- 2007)

  •  Instructed skills in Basic and Advanced Rifle Marksmanship with the ability to instruct and demonstrate the following: Assembly/Disassembly of M-16A2, M-4 Carbine, M249 SAW, M240B, M2 .50 Caliber machine gun; Four fundamentals of marksmanship: breathing, sight picture, trigger squeeze, and body position; conducting immediate action for a malfunction on M16 (S.P.O.R.T.S.), M249, M240B, M2 (P.O.P.S.); Reflexive Fire techniques; and zeroing an M16 / M4 on a 25 meter range.

  • Instructor  experience in conducting mounted and dismounted warrior tasks and battle drills reacting to contact, breaking contact, hasty vehicle recovery, reacting to ambush and convoy operations (including resourcing, planning, and organization of a convoy)  and ability to instruct or lead an applicable practical exercise/scenario.

  • Executed daily duties as a Sergeant Instructor and Platoon Sergeant for over 500 civilians through a rigorous six week physically and mentally challenged training regimen for 6 training cycles, which gave the candidates the ability to make decisive decisions in a highly diversified environment.
  • Evaluated over 500 potential candidates with in the standards of the Marine Corps for appointment as a Marine Officer, through a strenuous course with an 85% appointment rate upon graduation.Performed duties as a drill instructor and senior drill instructor in basic military knowledge and military skills through a strenuous 13 week training cycle.
