Communications Architect
Overview: Client is seeking a Communications Architect to document, analyze, and model current and future states of satellite telemetry, tracking, and commanding (TT&C) space operations infrastructures in support of the evolution of the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) to a more resilient network comprising military, civil, and commercial assets.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Develop enterprise architecture products to support the development of an interoperable and resilient communications network for satellite TT&C support
Maintain and update technical databases for various network elements including antennas and their associated ground stations
Support the calculation of radio frequency (RF) antenna/satellite link margins to enable satellite commanding and telemetry data reception
Work as a member of a team to collect enterprise and systems requirements data for use in architectural and systems analysis and project planning
Identify project requirements to support the planning/budgeting and implementation of the network’s evolution
Collect and maintain satellite communications network data including federal and commercial connectivity
Support architecture review boards
Learn and use Client proprietary Decision Support Suite
Minimum qualifications:
■At least four (4) years of applicable experience, OR two (2) years plus a master’s degree in an applicable discipline
â– Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office products, and the ability to learn and use new software programs
â– Solid work ethic including ability to work and represent Exostrategies with limited local supervision
â– Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Desired Capabilities:
â– Experience with optical communications
â– Programming in C++, C#, Python
Education requirement:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in engineering, physics, math, information technology or other related area of study
Technical master’s degree desired, but not required
