Highlight Write Up:
A diverse background consisting of more than 21 years in state law enforcement, which included fulfilling duties as a certified bomb technician, an explosive detection canine handler, explosive entry technician and a lead instructor tasked with educating police/fire personnel, scholastic institutions, and private companies across 318 municipalities of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Topics of instruction included identifying types of explosives, identification, construction and effects of improvised explosive devices and the proper response to bomb threats and explosive incidents. In the ninth year of my law enforcement career I enlisted as a member of the Army National Guard and soon after became a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces Regiment. During the past nine years of special forces assignments I have assumed greater roles of responsibility within the different teams to which I have been assigned. I have attained the rank of Sergeant First Class and most recently served as the Intelligence Sergeant/18F. I have further experience working as a Weapons Technical Intelligence (WTI) analyst while assigned to CJTF-Paladin in support of the Counter-IED mission in Afghanistan. I have demonstrated proficiency using open source, secret and top secret research tools (CIDNE, M3, HOT-R, WebTAS, COIC tools, DCGS-A, i2 Analyst Notebook, ArcGIS, NCTC Online, Lexis Nexis, Worldwide Incident Tracking System (WITS), CIA Wire and Open Source Center, Tripwire Analytic Capability, Lotus Notes, TSA Selectee/No-Fly Search, HTML Database, WEBEOC Incident Tracker, and (TIDE)), for data collection and analysis. I am currently working at the Hazardous Devices School, (the only school in the country that trains and certifies public safety bomb technicians), as a contracted instructor. It is this combination of law enforcement, explosive ordnance disposal, special operations, intelligence analysis, and instructor experience that make me uniquely qualified and flexible for a myriad of positions.
