We are seeking a self-motivated and strategic Fellow for a future Business Development Representative. College Degree is NOT Required for SOF veteran candidates.
This fellowship is training for a role is responsible for maintaining and growing existing customer revenues, as well as identifying and acquiring new business opportunities to ensure Client achieves its business and revenue objectives. The owner of the firm we represent will mentor, coach, and teach the selected team mate all required skills.
Following the fellowship, should the candidate have a positive evaluation, base salary starts… Multi-six figure income is possible by year three of employment if you follow the plan.
Schedule: 6 month Fellowship (under DoDI 1322.29)
Work Location: Anywhere (no relocation required)
Travel: 20% of the time (travel would be compensated thru Approved Career Skills Program (CSP) under 5 C.F.R. § 2635)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn to grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline resulting in awarded projects.
Gain skills to gather assigned business development objectives and daily sales call goals to assist Client in achieving business growth objectives.
Watch how to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers and develop working relationships
Learn to communicate customer progress, status, plans and activities to upper Management.
Gain an understanding of how to guide projects through the government procurement process, generating awards / orders.
Watch the president on how to to drive the bid reporting services, proposal activities and lead management. Identify, develop and implement marketing strategies
Learn how to build company image by collaborating with marketing to drive new opportunities and brand recognition within the region
Gain an understanding on how to target and attend customer, company and industry meetings, conferences, tradeshows and other trade organizations to drive sales within the region.
Mentorship in Assisting clients / prospects with risk assessment strategies
Learn how to develop and implement sales training program for new hires
Qualifications:
**Be within 7 months from ETS REQUIRED** (7 MONTHS OR MORE ACCEPTED UP TO 16 MONTHS)
Proven ability to successfully recruit, train, and mentor a high-performance team earned via your military experience.
Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills
Confident, self-starter who works well independently
Must have ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Good organizational skills
SOF Military service (preferred)
