Seeking World Class SVP/GM for DoD, DHS, Space, and the IC, TS, P&L/M&A

The Opportunity

Building upon Client’s success within DoD, DHS, Space, and the IC (plus with very recent wins at multiple agencies), our client is well-positioned to continue to achieve extraordinary growth. DoD is already their largest customer by revenue and now they are looking to exponentially increase its footprint and presence in the Defense sector. Client has the ingredients to create one of the best success stories in the midmarket and seeks the right senior executive to help execute the vision.

Beyond SOF seeks a world-class Senior Vice President & General Manager with P&L for their Defense business. He/she will be in a highly visible role and will be directly involved in M&A strategy, talent development, and the face of the customer.  This is an opportunity to join the inner circle of decision makers and leaders who will have a material impact on the success of the company and, ideally, a large exit.


  • Lead the Defense division by developing/executing the strategy and vision to include goals, client interface, communication, team structure, and growth.
  • Be the face of the customer, partner with the CEO/CXO’s in strategic/tactical decisions including Board presentations.
  • P&L owner for business across multiple customers; work closely on multi $100M+ pipeline
  • Develop, coach, and retain high performance teams while empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance.
  • Actively involved in M&A affecting Defense and Intel Portfolio


  • Proven experience in senior leadership, strategic planning, and business development and delivery within the Defense market (or a blend of DoD/IC)
  • Proven track record managing P&L, complex budgets, sales/capture, and internal business operations.
  • Proven reputation and experience leading and developing projects and portfolios supported by data-driven technologies, ideally to include either/all: advanced analytics, multi-cloud environments, cyber, and space.
  • Knowledge of current and future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information that may impact corporate business performance within the Defense market.
  • Understands the mission problems to solve, domain and functional capabilities needed, and the competitive market landscape. Has walked the right halls and has access up and down various DoD services leadership chains.
  • Likely will have served most of their career in DoD (or adjacent IC) with an emphasis and understanding of mission/operations capability.
  • Strong, agile, and entrepreneurial leader with ability to work effectively across functional groups of the organization and provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development.
  • Minimum of TS clearance.


He/she will receive a strong compensation package to include base salary and bonus plus equity with likely 7-figure payout upon successful exit.
