I served in in a variety of capacities, in executive and military / civilian staff positions. My experience encompasses supervision of 5,000+ personnel spanning over an area of 20 nations across the globe. My multi-faceted background has provided me a pragmatic, solution-oriented management style with a familiarity and inclination towards strategic environments. As noted below, I have documented success in the implementation of improved programs, executive selection, training/cross-training of personnel, and increasing productivity through innovation and adherence to high quality standards. I am a skilled communicator accustomed to cross-functional coordination and procedural documentation. As a private security executive and now, as a DoD Senior Civilian, I have a proven ability to work successfully with diverse individuals to achieve corporate goals and meet targets on time.
I am an accomplished writer and speaker with extensive planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership experience in complex, ambiguous, and asymmetric environments. Effective communicator and aggressive team-builder with a proven history of building high performing teams and motivating diverse workforces to accomplish organizational goals. I have extensive diplomatic experience throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Coalition organizations and political experience with the Legislative and Executive branches of the U.S. Government through Congressional testimony and personal interaction. Position Write Up:
Number of months in position – 35
o Developed strategic theater campaign plans for multiple contingencies throughout the CENTCOM AOR. These plans posture U.S. and Coalition forces to provide the President, the National Security Staff, and the Secretary of Defense the widest range of options to carry out U.S. policy, protect U.S. vital interests, and reassure regional partner nations.
o Serves as an executive representative to coordinate and interface within Headquarters USCENTCOM Directorates and Service Components, the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, other Unified Commands, Executive Branch departments and agencies (the Interagency) to include Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, and the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), International Governmental Organizations (IGOs), and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
o Provides policy guidance and direction concerning the development and execution of exercise requirements on all matters pertaining to joint and combined military exercises within the 20 countries located within the United States Central Command Area of Responsibility.
o Represents the United States, Commander USCENTCOM, and the Director of Exercises and Training in a variety of Coalition and International Conferences.
o Provides recommendations to the Director (0-8) on the allocation of annual exercise budget (all inclusive) of 100+ million USD.
o Expanded Interagency cooperation from 22 partners to more than 120 partners Leadership at the Federal, State, County, and Municipal levels to ensure timely and effective Defense Support to Civilian Authorities; successfully executed five National Special Security Events
