JOB TITLE Software Developer—Senior
CLEARANCE Secret
LOCATION Hurlburt Field, Florida (Ft Walton Beach, Florida)

ROLE(S) The Software Developer is a seasoned web and mobile application developer experienced with development of presentation (GUI), security, application, and database layers. This is an evolving opportunity seeking to employ cutting edge web applications to increase efficiency and performance supporting Special Operations Forces. The successful candidate will be motivated, team oriented, and possess a drive to make a difference in warfighting capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• 5-8 years of related software development experience
• Python experience—or another like language that easily bridges into Python
(critical)
• DoDI 8570.01m Certification (IAT-II compliant): minimum Security+ CE
• Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) within six (6)
months of hire

DESIRED • Amazon Web Services—Associate

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical
discipline; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and
work and military experience

DESIRED • Micosoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)

RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide full lifecycle software development, including requirements gathering, design,
development, testing, documentation, training, configuration, and maintenance of developed software projects
• Maintain existing custom-developed software and support COTS and GOTS software
products as needed
• Apply agile and lean software development best practices, including the establishment of coding conventions, documentation standards, testing procedures, and quality assurance
• Work with IT professionals to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and communicate changes
• Possible short-term TDY travel to meet with users

EXPERIENCE • Experience in one or more of the following: JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS
• Python, or an equivalent bridge language to the use of Python, is critical
• Experience developing web-based applications; utilizing HTML5/JavaScript/CSS
• Understanding of responsive design techniques and mobile web clients
• Working knowledge of one or more of the following application frameworks: #JQuery, web2py, and #AngularJS
• Strong understanding and working knowledge of at least some of the following: UI and UX design, MVC, WCF, SQL, #RESTful web services, mobile app development, and #Ajax
methodologies
• Always looking for innovative ways to integrate new technology to solve problems and fill capability gaps; demonstrated expertise selecting and using open source products in
applications and solutions
• Working knowledge of software development tools such as #Redmine, #JIRA, and GitHub and #GitLab
• Good working knowledge of information systems and applications in a #DevOps environment,
including Linux (Red Hat), Windows Server 2008R2, Apache, and PostgreSQL
• Experience using Hadoop storage
• Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., #Kanban, #Scrum)
• Good business communication skills since position requires developing and giving
presentations (critical)
• Detail oriented and organized; understands information systems and the importance of
accurately documenting work (critical)
• Air Force or other DoD background (preferred)
