UAS Salesperson, Boston, $100K + Commissions,

Client is a leading manufacturer of smart tethered Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for surveillance and tactical communications. The company’s solutions are deployed among military and non-military Government bodies and agencies, civil and private security, in more than 50 countries. The company has won several awards and prizes in the United States and Europe and has received the “Technology Innovator Award” from Frost & Sullivan. Client headquarter is based in Lyon, France, and the company is quickly developing its North American presence in both United States and Canada to better serve its customers.

About the position
We are currently seeking a Sales Representative ideally with previous small UAS related experience, to join the client in Boston, MA Metro area. Your mission will be focused on developing sales, conducting demonstrations, and providing customer support to our North American customer base. These missions will include (but will not be limited to) managing complex sales contracts, performing UAS flight operations, demonstrations and training, developing sales proposals and business opportunities, providing support to existing customers and be the principle point of contact for commercial and technical questions. The missions will also include participation in the evolution of our range of products by providing
operational and technical feedback. This position includes travels up to 50% of the time in the United States and Canada.

Missions
You will be responsible for the following to support client customers in the US and Canada:

  • Identify and prospect customers in North America to keep a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Conduct demonstrations at customers facilities and work with them to answer their operational needs.
  • Build and make appropriate sales proposals for customers.
  • Identify and follow processes for public procurement at local, county, state and federal levels to have a smooth
    and continuous sales volume.
  • Support customer training (if needed).
  • Provide customers with technical support.
  • Be the point of contact for incoming UAS queries and questions.
  • Develop proposals and explore new business opportunities.
  • Participation in Customer Success plan from customer acquisition to training and support.
  • Implementation of product evaluation campaigns in operational scenarios with users and writing feedback.
  • Participation to the integration and tests of new products with partners.

Ideal profile
You have an appetite for technology, drones and/or the defense industry. With a technical background and experience in drone operations you are looking for a new experience in a dynamic and fast-growing company. Used to be in the field and operational, you can relate to understand, and evaluate the profile of people you face. Not afraid of traveling you have knowledge of defense and law enforcement/security markets. Previous military or law enforcement experience is a great plus.

Qualities sought
 Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years related experience (master’s degree a plus)
 Military, Intelligence, Law Enforcement or EMS Experience (ideally at Federal level)
 Willing to obtain Part 107 Certified UAS Pilot
 Willing to travel nationally and internationally.
 Knowledge of Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
 Good interpersonal skills, positive and professional demeanor, and attitude.
 Strong organizational skills.
 Proven ability to make decisions in complex situations and under pressure.
 MS Office proficiency and ability to work in an individual and team environment.
 Travel depends on contract award. During high operational demand up to 50%.

Required Licenses or certification

US Citizenship.
FAA Part 107 License (already passed is a plus).
State Driver’s License.
Active federal government security clearance would be a plus.

Annual Gross Salary to negotiate based on profile. + Bonus/commissions on sales.

Health Insurance
Schedule Full-time. Can be required to work weekends and/or extended hours on occasions.
Travel Up to 50% of the time.
Start: November 2020.
